| Amber Epp |
Vocalist Amber Epp has been taking Winnipeg by storm this past year with her energetic and lively performances. A student at the University of Manitoba, Amber studies with musicians such as Steve Kirby, Larry Roy, and Anna-Lisa Kirby. In the short time she has been studying jazz, Amber has opened for members of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (Wycliffe Gordon, Marcus Printup, Herlin Riley), James Carter, Cyrus Chestnut, and the Clayton Brothers as part of prestigious Izzy Asper Jazz Series. She also performs regularly with many of Winnipeg’s top talents – Steve Kirby, Larry Roy, Ron Paley, Papa Mambo, Ken Gold, and Marco Castillo. While Amber is firmly rooted in the jazz tradition, she is currently exploring Cuban and Brasilian music as well. Her debut at the Jazz Winnipeg Festival should prove to be exciting, dynamic, and diverse. You won’t want to miss it!
