Born and raised in Winnipeg, Curtis Newton is one of the brightest stars of the Canadian blues, boogie and swing scene. He is a soft-spoken, almost shy young man except when he has a guitar in his hands. With a style that goes from the fiercely ferocious to the sweetly subtle, his sound comes straight from the heart. A gifted vocalist, Newton reveals a clever sense of humour too rarely found in modern blues while still maintaining his respect for the integrity of the music.
