Curtis Nowosad and Keith Price have performed together in many different projects since 2004. Their on-stage connection and friendship off the bandstand has led them to co-lead an interesting new group with some of Winnipeg's most talented young musicians. They'll be joined by friends Neil Watson on saxophones, Will Bonness on piano, and Julian Bradford on bass. The focus of the new group is to embrace the musical freedom of the jazz genre by opening up to a broad palette of influence. Elements of pop music, hip hop, and Latin styles are present in the group's sound, along with heavy doses of classic and contemporary jazz. The group is excited to make their debut at this year's festival.
