With their unique blends of hip hop, funk, disco, rock, reggae, and everything else, the dynamic duo of DJ Co-op and DJ Hunnicutt have been ruling the dance party scene in Winnipeg for over six years. This turntable tandem has been voted Winnipeg's best DJs by the readers of Uptown Magazine four years in a row. Together, they've thrown over 30 parties at clubs (Doin’ the Do!, Get on the Good Foot!) on riverboats (That's the Funky Ship!, The Funk Boat) and at roller rinks ( A Roller Skating Jam Named “Saturdays,” Bounce Rock Skate Roll) all the while making each party unique and challenging themselves to out-do the last. They've also had some their DJ buddies from around North America to in on the action – special guests at Co-op/Hunnicutt jams have included The Rub, Smalltown DJs, Skratch Bastid, DJ Day, DJ Huggs, Certified Bananas, and Buck 65. Lately, Co-op and Hunnicutt have been expanding their reach to the rest of Canada and beyond. Last fall saw Co-op and Hunnicutt play at one of New York City's hottest parties: The Rub, as well as an appearance at the Pop Montreal Festival. This spring the DJs played parties in Chicago, Minneapolis and at SXSW in Austin. They also played in thirteen cities across Canada as a part of their second full-fledged national tour.
