Jodi King has a way of singing right to your soul – lyrics that move you, and a voice that touches the heart. A girl from the prairies, King draws from her driven nature and innocent perspective to bring you a refreshing sound. From years of classical piano training to performances and recording sessions with some of Canada’s most recognized artists (Steve Bell, Luke McMaster, and Kyle Riabko), King has had several different influences mold her sound. In June 2007, Jodi released The Acoustic EP as a taste of things to come: “I think there is room for music that is honest, unpretentious and uplifting. That’s what I do best and that’s what I want to share…as far and wide as possible.” With each song, demo and performance turning more and more people into fans of Jodi King, it’s becoming clear that music, quite simply, is what Jodi was meant to do.
