Le Duo is the sensational pairing of vocalist Sophie Berkal-Sarbit and guitarist Ariel Posen. Best known for her recent CD release The Gypsy in My Soul produced by Bill King, Sophie has performed throughout Winnipeg and has become a regular at venues in Toronto. Her music has been aired across Canada by the CBC, Jazz FM, and other local stations. She performed at the National Jazz Awards in Toronto last year and is thrilled to be singing with a kindred spirit this time round – unplugged and uninhibited! Posen is one of Winnipeg’s great musical surprises. Whether he’s a lead player for hire or working in a background role as a freelance session guitarist, his outstanding musicianship has impressed musicians and music fans alike. Ariel is well known for his work with Katelyn Dawn, Ash Koley, and his own underground trio sensation Groovy Moustache. Ariel is also a composer who brings his writing skills to Le Duo.
