The product of the febrile Winnipeg music scene, Nathan has coalesced around the haunting songwriting and singing talents of Keri McTighe and Shelly Bilewitch, augmented by Devin Latimer on bass, Damon Mitchell on drums, and an intriguing and eccentric sound that is part country, part wild Gypsy music, and part rootsy pop with a healthy dose of Tom Waits-styled everything-but-the-kitchen-sink production thrown in. The group has released an EP and three full-length CDs, including their latest, Key Principles. The album, released in 2007, won a Juno Award this past April for best roots and traditional album of the year.
