Pip Skid and Hot Dogg

Pip Skid is a prominent Canadian rapper and a cornerstone of the successful Vancouver-based hip hop label Peanuts & Corn. Originally from Brandon, Manitoba, Pip is renowned in underground hip hop circles for his distinctive gravel-throated vocals, and has risen to international status as one of the most ferocious, unforgiving political MCs of today. As a co-founder of landmark Canadian hip hop group Farm Fresh, as well as a member of other famed crews such as Fermented Reptile, Hip Hop Weiners and Break Bread, Pip has sold thousands of albums while starring on over a dozen albums since 1994. His brutally honest, blue-collar anthems have been embraced by the thousands of listeners who feel just like him –  he is the voice of the angry, the frustrated, the broke, the tired and the fed-up –  whether he likes it or not. Hot Dogg (born Mijok Lang) is a Lost Boy, a survivor of the two-decades-long civil war in Sudan. Hot Dogg came to Canada in 2004 and was resettled in Winnipeg. After graduating from high school Hot Dogg pursued a career in music. The MC is a strong advocate for human rights and a permanent fixture in the movement against human rights abuses in Darfur. He speaks and performs at rallies, fundraisers, schools, and social justice events to raise awareness about the devastating effects of war and the importance of human rights.
