Good things come in fives. Dropping his first rough cut as a high school freshman when he was just 14, viisi couldn’t have known that five years later he’d be touring Europe and playing packed shows in Germany and France.
The pressure might have fazed most, but really, not much fazes the tall, red-haired rapper from Winnipeg. Born Matthew Christian Eric Borley, the rapper and songwriter grew up surrounded by family dysfunction and a history of addiction. Introduced by his father to the world of ‘90s hip hop pioneers, viisi was a quick study, diving deep down the hip hop rabbit hole. Writing prose with a message from personal experience, of life and dreams, viisi is unabashed in his honesty — a visceral approach that will leave fans moved.
