Chris Botti has thoroughly established himself as one of the important, innovative figures of the contemporary music world. His success has crossed over to audiences usually reserved for pop music, and his ongoing association with PBS has led to four #1 jazz albums, 5 GRAMMY nominations, and 2 GRAMMY Awards.
THE FLAMING LIPS
Three-time Grammy-Award winners, The Flaming Lips are one of the most enduring, influential, unpredictable, and globally respected bands of their generation. Led by Wayne Coyne, they have been cited as the ultimate live attraction and life-affirming festival band who continue to dazzle audiences with their over-the-top, maximalist, high-energy onslaught on the senses.
Tune-Yards' latest iteration finds the band flirting with the dancefloor more than ever before, as four on the floor kickdrum underpins wild polyrhythms and slinky bass grooves. The band's atypical arrangements seem to defy gravity, bursting like fireworks one moment and retreating inwards the next as the band blends pop, hip-hop, soul, folk, rock, and 80’s house music.
At 22, Caesar has become one of R&B’s most talked-about talents, even though — or perhaps because — he’s more of a classic soul man than a trend-chaser. Caesar's intimate, dark, and ambient-tinged soul made an immediate impression on critics and fans alike.
Jill Barber has become renowned for writing songs that evoke feelings of a bygone era. Regardless of Jill’s influences, the one thing you are always assured of is that you know a Jill Barber song when you hear it, and chances are, you’ll never forget it.
