Jazz Winnipeg announces the first show of their fall season with the return of JUNO Award-winning guitarist Jesse Cook. Cook will hit the city on November 3, 2017 as part of his North American Beyond Borders Tour, performing music from his upcoming album of the same name as well as hits from his long-spanning, celebrated career. Beyond Borders is due out in August.
Cook is widely considered one of the most influential figures in nuevo flamenco music and his work incorporates elements of flamenco, rumba, and jazz. Beloved by audiences and critics alike, the guitarist's vast and varied catalogue, has earned him 11 JUNO nominations and one win for 2000's Free Fall.
