Festival Info

Welcome to the 2026 TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival, running June 16–21, 2026. From free outdoor concerts at Old Market Square to ticketed performances across some of Winnipeg’s most beloved venues, the festival brings together local favourites, international artists, and music lovers from across the city for six days of discovery, connection, and live music.

Whether you’re joining us for one show or planning to take in the full week, here’s everything you need to know before you go.

Festival Venues

From grand stages to intimate rooms, outdoor gathering spaces to local favourite venues, each festival site offers its own unique feel and way to experience the music. Together, they help create the vibrant, welcoming, and discovery-filled atmosphere that makes Jazz Fest so special.

Burton Cummings Theatre

A legendary Winnipeg venue for big concert moments, Burton Cummings Theatre offers a grand, historic setting for select festival headliners. It’s a room built for impact — the kind of place where major performances feel even bigger.

Desautels Concert Hall

Elegant, intimate, and acoustically rich, Desautels Concert Hall offers a focused listening experience that puts the music front and centre. It’s an ideal setting for audiences who want to hear every detail and feel close to the performance.

The Club Room at Fort Garry Hotel

Rich in character and atmosphere, the Club Room at the Fort Garry Hotel is home to our International Jazz Showcase and Spirit of ’76 series. It’s an intimate, club-style setting that invites audiences to experience adventurous artists and unforgettable performances up close.

Times Change(d) High & Lonesome Club

A classic live music room with heart, history, and plenty of charm, Times Change(d) is home to the festival’s nightly late-night jam sessions. It’s the kind of intimate venue made for spontaneous moments, musical chemistry, and staying out a little later than planned.

Festival Schedule

Tickets

The festival includes both free and ticketed programming. Our performances at Old Market Square / The Cube are free to attend, while concerts at our indoor venues require tickets. Festival listings and ticket links are available through Jazz Winnipeg’s official festival page.

If you’re planning to attend multiple International Jazz Showcase concerts at the Fort Garry Hotel, the International Jazz Passport lets you bundle any three eligible showcase performances and save 25%.

We recommend purchasing tickets through official Jazz Winnipeg or official venue links only.

Know Before You Go

Please double-check your venue before heading out. Festival events take place at multiple locations across Winnipeg, so it’s always a good idea to confirm your show time and venue in advance.

Arrive early whenever possible. Giving yourself extra time helps with parking, transit, lineups, and getting settled before the music starts. For free outdoor performances at Old Market Square, arriving early is especially recommended.

Have your ticket ready before you arrive for ticketed events. Mobile or digital ticket access may vary by venue, so it’s helpful to have everything pulled up before you’re at the door.

Dress for the weather if you’re attending outdoor programming. Old Market Square performances happen in the open air, so sun, wind, or rain may all be part of the festival experience.

Come ready to explore. In addition to concerts, the festival includes food and beverage vendors at Old Market Square, plus a local maker’s market that adds to the atmosphere of the outdoor site.

Getting There

Festival venues are spread across Winnipeg, with several located downtown and in the Exchange District. Planning ahead for parking, transit, biking, or walking is strongly encouraged, especially on busy festival nights.

If you’re attending multiple events in one day, build in a little extra time between venues so you can move comfortably from one show to the next.

Food Vendors

Old Market Square will feature food vendors as part of the festival experience, making it easy to grab a bite while taking in free outdoor programming. Food options help keep the site lively throughout the evening and add to the community festival atmosphere.

Drinks

Beverage vendors will also be part of the experience at Old Market Square. Depending on the venue, additional drink service may be available at select indoor festival locations as well.

Please enjoy responsibly, and check venue-specific policies before arriving.

Maker’s Market

Alongside the music, Old Market Square will feature a local maker’s market, giving festival-goers a chance to browse and shop while enjoying the free outdoor site. It’s another way the festival brings together music, creativity, and community in one shared space.
