JAZZ WINNIPEG ANNOUNCES JAZZ AT THE FORT GARRY HOTEL SPRING 2025 PROGRAMMING, CELEBRATING 100 PROGRAM DAYS ON APRIL 27 SINCE THE PARTNERSHIP WAS FIRST ANNOUNCED
(March 11, 2025- Winnipeg, MB) Jazz Winnipeg is excited to continue the Jazz at the Fort Garry Hotel series for our 2025 spring season. Held at the Fort Garry Hotel’s Club Room, the series will showcase a lineup of both new and returning artists, further strengthening the long-standing partnership between Jazz Winnipeg and the iconic venue.
The upcoming spring 2025 season includes the series’ 100 days of programming milestone with the Fort Garry Hotel. The season continues with the soulful sounds of the Pacific Prairie Jazz Quintet, followed by a thrilling celebration of jazz legends with The Music of Bill Strayhorn & Joe Henderson. Ending off March is Tetyana Haraschuk with her blend of passion and precision. April ushers in a special tribute with Spring Blossoms: A Blossom Dearie Tribute, honoring the timeless charm of the beloved singer. Fabio Ragnelli then brings his signature flair to the stage, and Nova Brasil Collective finishes April programming as they transport audiences to vibrate rhythms and sounds. May offers a lively mix, starting with the upbeat and swinging vibes of the Winnipeg Swing Project, followed by a special Mother’s Day concert by Sheena Rattai.
“Jazz at the Fort Garry has taken on a life of its own over the past two years of programming,” said Jazz Winnipeg programming director Zachary Rushing. “It’s become an audience favourite, and an important outlet for our city’s jazz creatives. We’re so excited that on April 27, we are celebrating 100 programming days (and well over 100 shows) in this beautiful venue and look forward to celebrating that milestone with you all. A big shout out to Ida, Maria, Janet, Mike and the whole team at the Fort Garry Hotel!”
