Drawing from the dawn of modern music in the Deep South, this acoustic duo presents pre war and rare vintage gems by the great Blues statesmen and women of Delta, Piedmont, Hill Country, and hokum jazz persuasions.
Compared to Bonnie Raitt, Tracy K has the gift of stage performance with a celebrated raspy voice that is beautiful, dynamic and powerful. Her harmonica prowess is compared to Sonny Terry and Little Walter. Jamie Steinhoff is a true bluesman guilty of preserving authenticity, with his acoustic and resonator guitars and soulful, gritty voice. They’ve shared stages with greats like John Sebastian, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot, and local Memphis talent during three tours to the International Blues Challenge.
Tracy K has accumulated nine music awards over her thirty year body of work for vocal, harmonica, songwriting and performance chops, including a WCMA Blues Artist of the Year nomination. Spanning international borders at large outdoor festivals, theatres, Home Routes Tours, and special events, they offer humour, wit and introspective shows keeping the blues alive one song at a time.
